Several years ago, I read Nora Ephron’s book I Feel Bad About My Neck. I felt an immediate empathy with her and started totally focusing on my neck. Since that time, I tried different creams and natural oils to moisturize. I started wearing turtleneck sweaters and invested in numerous scarves.
Then I read about TempSure® – a gentle, safe radiofrequency treatment that minimizes facial fine lines and wrinkles and tightens skin. It stimulates collagen production. While the procedure can be done on the full face, neck, abdomen, or above the knees, my priority is the neck.
I had a consultation with Dr. Barbi who explained the procedure and recommended between 5 to 7 treatments, scheduled one month apart. It is suggested that patients receive one treatment for each decade of age. Since I’m in my 70’s, I need more collagen stimulation than a person in their 40’s or 50’s. The most common number of treatments is between 4 and 5.
My experience has been very positive. There is no discomfort and zero downtime. For me, after the initial heat sensation, the procedure feels like a hot stone massage. After telling Dr. Barbi my feedback, she smiled and said that people have different reactions to the treatment but patients are very happy with results.
I understand that while the collagen generated from TempSure® is permanent, some patients may need a touch-up session every one to two years. If so, I’m ready!
My recommendation is to contact Dr. Barbi’s office to schedule a consultation.
And, now . . .I Feel Good About My Neck
